Pouch snails eat things under water such as algae and underwater plants.
yes snails can live in a box with a plastic sheet as a lid (don't use clingflim) put a hiding area for them a water bowl and a food bowl. put things for them to climb over with leaves. feed them fruit and veg for food.
:D
Snails have a sense of smell and taste. It is their best developed sense. The lower tentacles that are on either side of the mouth, stretch out in front of the snail as it moves. These tentacles have smell and taste receptors at their tips.
Who eats Aquatic Snails other than humans?
It is proven by scientists that a crocodile eats aquatic snails as well as humans
Olive snails live on sandy sea bottoms in tropical and subtropical seas and oceans around the world.
What could you use to kill slugs?
salt :) or stand on them.... thats abit obvious tho.... Salt works, but it'll mess with vegetation.
Garden snails need water for sure! Or else the poor things will dry up. Though they will shrink into their shells for protection, they can't do that forever. Sooner or later, they would starve to death if they don't dry to death. But garden snails cannot literally swim in water, so I don't suggest to put garden snails in large quantities of water.
Snails can eat almost anything. They shouldn't eat snail poison, though! :)
I have a 10 gallon tank and it holds 3 indian dwarf puffer fish/pea puffers. they love snail cuz they are small enough to suck out the snails. if you have a snail problem i would remove the fish from your tank and put a snail killing chemical in. i have also heard of snail traps you can put in your tank and not have to remove your fish. i would at fast because snails multiply VERY FAST, or you can smash them with your fingers. Also there are such things as ASSASSIN snails that will eat brown snails.
What is the Height of a snail?
I would say about two-four inches tall. P.S. don't use this answer on a test you might fail. What it's a prediction. (laughter)
Are mystery snails edible for human consumption?
Looking online suggests that both Chinese Mystery Snails and Banded Mystery Snails are edible. Both are invasive where I live and I recently grabbed a few to eat. A word of caution, all wild caught snails must be kept for a few days (3-8) with constant changing of their water, tap water will do, to rid them of any toxins they picked up. Feed them oatmeal, cornmeal, or lettuce to get the mud they have been previously been feeding on out of their systems.
Do you give garden snails water?
if you don't give them water they will die, any water is okay but bottled and rain water are better than tap water, the best way to give it them is to soak a paper towel and place it near to the snail, if you cant do that then i recommend dripping Luke warm water on the soil around them and if you pour it on them while there sleeping they'le wake up to have a drink.
Why do we pour salt on leeches?
The salt dehydrate the leeches through the process of osmosis. When you pour salt on leeches, there's more substrates outside the leech than inside the leech.
I think pouring salt on leeches will make them fall off whatever they were attached to.
i dont know go find it for me! i dont know go find it for me!
Why is a snails body called a foot?

How do you wake up a snail please help?
If you have a pet snail, find were your critter is, then, ever so gently, pick him up by his shell then he may emerge from his shell. Remember to wash your hands before and after picking up your snail.
What is the body temperature of a snail?
Snails are poikilotherms - cold blooded. That is they do not generate appreciable amounts of heat internally, having a low metabolic rate, and their body temperature passively follows their environment. When extended out of their shell they loose some heat as water evaporates from them (as long as their surroundings are less than 100% humid) so they can have a body temperature a bit less than ambient. On the other hand, in desert conditions and full sun, they can be tens of degrees hotter than the air (and definitely not extended for long if they're going to survive).
