How do you test flexibility of a snowboard?
stand it straight up and down like a tree, hold the top and push on the middle
Are forum arena bindings good?
Yes they are sick! So much better than any other Burton or Flow binder. I've rode Burton high end bindings and went through my Flow phase. These bindings are top notch, super cush on landings, lightweight, and easily tweakable. And the colors are sick, especially if you are cool enough to match up with the Forum Grudge, or Grudge LRG limited boards (no biases here, lol).
Will regular candle wax ruin your snowboard?
Yes, for waxing Snowboards/Skis you will need to use tuning wax which you can usually buy at a sports shop on the mountain...
Why don't some people like tourists?
Because they don't know how to surf/skate/snowboard and will always do something stupid that will screw you over when you're riding a wave, skating some sort of line, or about to hit some kind of jump when snowboarding. They're all kooks and need to go back home to where they came from.
What holds on your feet on a snowboard?
In short: bindings.
First, there are snowboard boots. They are stiffer than your average winter boots, but aren't like ski boots in that they are not constructed out of solid parts. The closest analogy I can think of is a loose or soaked cast. They're just stiff enough to let the bindings, which are attached to the board hold your feet tight in them without traumatizing you.
ANSWER:
The one that holds your feet on a board is your bindings. You have to wear your snowboard boots then place the bindings after.
Does a 2009 Burton custom that doesn't have the ICS system only work with Burton bindings?
No, only ICS (infinite channel system) boards require est (extra sensory technology) bindings. Burton are the only ones making this binding hence why ics boards are only compatible with the Burton est bindings. Your Custom (sweet deck by the way) has the common set up which every binding agrees with. The deck has holes drilled in the top which allow the baseplate of any binding to be mounted to it. Keep on shreding
A scraper is used to 'scrape' the wax off of a snowboard. After the wax has been applied to the board and has soaked into the board for a few minutes, the excess wax needs to be removed or it will slow you down.
The scraper can come in many sizes, but usually is a rectangle shape. IT can also be plastic or metal.
What will happen if you ride a snowboard without waxing it?
Basically, you will either not go very fast or possibly not even move.
Do you have to have the same snowboard bindings as the snowboard?
nope, but you have to be careful, because on some bindings the holes to screw it in place, wont match up with the holes in the board.
When did dc shoes start making snowboards?

In Snowboarding would you wear a beanie over your helmet?

Can you see through polarized snowboard goggles?

Is the Burton clash a powder board?
Honestly the Burton clash Rides very well in powder. However a board that possibly rides better in powder by Burton for the same price is the Burton bullet.
How do Burton snowboarding boots fit?
I have Burton moto boots and they are the same size as my shoe size and fit well, however i was disapointed in them because they do not take much to wear them out. A bunch of my friends also have them and they wore out too so if you are going to do serious riding i recommend not going with Burton boots seeing as they wear out easily but they do fit very well in my opinion.
How many types of snowboards are there?
There are 3 main types of snowboards * Freestyle specific snowboards are shorter in length with a centered stance and turned up tip and tail that are the same. * Freeride snowboards are normally longer with a stance that's set back of center with a longer nose and a shorter tail. * Alpine/Carving snowboards use hard boots and a very stiff directional board with both snowboard-binding angles being positive(pointing toward the tip).
Where can one buy a burton snowboard jacket for a cheap price?
The best place to purchase name brand clothing, especially winter clothing, is through an internet site dedicated to the selling, or reselling of name brands. The most popular of these include Overstock, Amazon, and Ebay.
How do you tell if a snowboard is twin tip?
There are two types of twin boards- a true twin and a directional twin. A true twin means the board is 100% symmetrical. The stance is centered, the flex is even, and the sidecut is radial. This is the shape you find mostly on freestyle boards. A directional twin has twin tips and sometimes a centered stance, but the flex is directional and/or the sidecut is progressive. This is the most versatile shape and is commonly found on all-mountain snowboards.
What does a snowboard sidecut do?
it is the curve on the edge of the snowboard that enables you to turn.
Flow was the first to come out with a convenience style binding. That's what you are probably thinking of. All of their bindings work this way. K2 however came out with the Cinch in 2004 which operates somewhat similar but gives you the feel of a normal strap in binding.
Do you need ski goggles to snowboard?
Not necessarily.
You can wear Sunglasses instead of goggles if you want, but you have to wear something to protect your eyes, or you put yourself at risk of Snow Blindness, since light refracts strongly off snow, and damages your eyes.
This is just as true when it's cloudy as when it's sunny.
Wearing Goggles instead of Glasses is however recommended in bad weather, mainly for comfort reasons.
Note: There's no difference between Ski and Snowboard Goggles.
They're giving you a chance to sell yourself; take it! Think of things about you and your skills, interests, and experiences that relate to the company, the job you're applying for, or the position you hope to advance to. (These would be points you've not already referenced elsewhere in your application.) And you can even just make known your enthusiasm for the job. State these points clearly and simply. Some examples: * I've been riding Burton boards for 5 years now. * My artwork won the Best New Artist award last year. * I also used to hand-build my own surf boards. * My grades were tops in wood shop and metalworking. * I really want to learn everything about building Burton boards. * I believe in Burton products and would be proud to help market them. * I've explored other manufacturers, but Burton is the company I really want to work for. I've long admired your products, and I've heard that Burton brings out the best in their employees. Also it is very helpful if you can make a point about something you've learned about what the company values in their employees, or a special need they might have: * Traveling for the job will be no problem. * I also do speak fluent German. * My last employer can vouch for how punctual I am. * I've never had an on-work injury; I take safety on the job seriously.
