One good thing to check on is your grip. Having the proper grip on the seam will help on the rotation on the ball. Your wrist snap will help as well.
It is 60 feet from home to first on a softball field. It is the same distance between all the bases. The pitcher's mound is 40 to 43 feet way depending on the level of competition. The depth of the outfield varies from field to field.
Typically, 9 batters are on the line-up at a time. When playing the 'extra player' rules, you can bat 10 players.
Usually, the number of people on a softball team is anywhere from 11-13.
30 degrees
Most companies recommend 65 degrees. It may seem a bit excessive but they recommend this as to ensure the structural security of your bat. (Make sure it doesn't break or weaken)
A slap hitter need to be at the top curve of the runners on her team and competition. Most high school slappers run under three seconds while in college they need to be un der two and a half seconds.
The only thing any one player can do it to make the plays that they can. They can also get on base and score. Unless you are fast, scoring depends on your team-mates and their ability to move you over on the bases.
It is two 7 feet by 3 feet boxes (one on each side of home plate) that the batter must stand in to attempt to hit a pitched ball.
Chicago: 16' ball with no gloves.
Maine & Alaska: play in the snow.
California : OTL don't use gloves or run the bases
It depends on the person. Make sure it isn't to heavy or to long. A good way to test if its the right size is to have them hold it out straight in the air to the side of them if they cant hold it out good then its to heavy. You can also see how they swing with it.

My hypothesis is that the baseball will indeed go farther. To explain why well because it is smaller so it will gain more speed. While a softball is big it will not gain as much speed but could be hit far as well. thank you.
The more carefully a scientist tries to answer this question, the more trouble he'd have with it. The problem is the part where it says "... slowed the most ..."
That's a concept that seems intuitively very easy to understand, but it's scientifically about as foggy as you can get. How do you measure how much a moving object has been slowed? Are we supposed to look for the greatest instantaneous negative acceleration? The greatest numeric reduction in speed? The greatest fractional reduction in speed during the total flight? The greatest fractional reduction in momentum or in kinetic energy?
Now that we've pointed out the difficulty, we're going to sweep the whole matter under the rug, and simply say to the questioner: We know what you mean.
Of the items on that list, the ping pong ball will be slowed the most by air resistance.
It should be a size 4. available at walmart
If the player gets to second base on his hit, it is a double.
If a player is on first base and goes to second base on a pitch during another player's at bat, it is called stealing second base.
If a player is on first base and goes to second base on another players hit, walk, ground out, etc., it is called being advanced to second base.

Two bases from the base the runner occupied at the time the wild throw was made.
A slapper is someone who normally bats on the left hand side and walks from the back to the front of the batters box while attempting to hit the ball. If you need any help I am a slapper and am willing to answer any more questions. Just post them in my message board!
Slapper
i am a slapper too and it is not that hard it is all what she said... look me up for more info on softball
I play softball because it builds character. Also, theres more to do in softball like batting, stealing, pitching catching, and infield/outfield than soccer or basketball. Its fun too, and it also builds endurance. Soccer and basketball can be cool but i prefer softball.
Speed is based on distance traveled in a given amount of time. Baseball uses a distance of 60 feet 6 inches from the pitching rubber to home where as softball is 43 feet. A ball that would cover 43 feet in 1/2 a second is traveling just over 58 mph while a ball covering 60 feet 6 inches in the same time is traveling 82.5 mph. You need to know 2 of the following 3 ; distance, speed, or time. If you know distance and time then the formula is speed=distance/time.
If you know the speed and distance then use time=distance/speed, get that number then use previous formula and change distance to get comparison.
Softtball was derived from the game baseball, this was so women could play as they didnt play baseball. But these days both genders play both games :)
In fast-pitch softball the bases are 60 feet apart. There are 12 inches in one foot. So 60x12=720 inches
To intimidate or distract the pitcher
The biggest I have seen is the WORTH Mayhem "BFG" glove.
It weighs in at 1.25 feet (15" for those of us who might need a calculator to work that out). Its a Big Freakin Glove and feels much larger than my Rawlings RSGXLDTB 14".
It is the only softball glove I have seen listing its size on the actual glove in feet vs inches. Nice touch. Pretty inexpensive too.
Good luck,
Steve Fleming
There is no limit to the drop; that only applies to baseball.
The only requirement for a softball bat to be used in high school softball is that it must be ASA (Amateur Softball Association) approved and so marked on the bat. The current marking is the phrase ASA 2004 inside the outline of a home plate.
