A little known fact about the infamous Ted Bundy, one that he refused to talk about was the decor of his apartment in Seattle, WA. After killing some of his victims he decapitated them and displayed them on shelves in his small apartment. I can only guess he didn't have many people over for drinks.

I believe that Bundy's trial was the first to introduce a dental expert to match the bite mark on a victim's body to Bundy's teeth. It has since been suggested that this method is not as accurate as first thought.

The insanity defense is used by criminal defendants. The most common variation is cognitive insanity. Under the test for cognitive insanity, a defendant must have been so impaired by a mental disease or defect at the time of the act that he or she did not know the nature or quality of the act, or, if the defendant did know the nature or quality of the act, he or she did not know that the act was wrong. The vast majority of states allow criminal defendants to invoke the cognitive insanity defense.

In Bundy's case, the defense didn't do much. He took the death penalty.

He did. But there is still debate as to which disorders. Several psychologists claimed Bundy was manic depression while others say he suffered from ASPD (anti-social personality disorder). I believe the most accurate is as follows: Classified as High Factor 1 Psychopath, characterized by a grandiose sense of self, pathological lying, conning-manipulative behaviors, lack of remorse, lack of empathy and failure to accept responsibility. From all I have read about Bundy the High Factor 1 is a more accurate diagnosis.

Bundy moved to Utah to attend law school in Salt Lake City and Laura Aime, who disappeared when she left a Halloween party in Lehi, Utah, had her remains found a month later by hikers on the banks of a river in the American Fork Canyon.

Suggested route from to Salt Lake to American fork I-15 s would only take 31.8 to 39 minutes. Suggested route I-215 S and I-15 S would take 36.3 mi to 45 min. Salt Lake is only 25 miles from American Fork.

The Records I found states that Bundy went to Utah to study law in Salt Lake City but it is not consistent with the place where he really lived.

Among other strange habits and quirks, Bundy himself claimed to have something of a foot fettish. While on the run in Florida, he bought 30 pairs of socks.

Among others, many people find state murder or capital punishment immoral. Like abortion, there are very strong feelings on both sides and no easy answers. The Bible says 'thou shall not commit murder' but it also says 'an eye for an eye' This is probably the most hotly debated subject where killer Ted Bundy is concerned.

It was a requirement for Bundy's psychology studies in order to obtain his degree. The rumor was that when Bundy, when manning the phones alone, would turn the phone off so he didn't have to deal with people in crisis. When fellow volunteer Ann Rule was present Bundy was on his best behavior, councelling distressed people with the utmost sensitivity. As is true for most antisocial personalities, Bundy wore a mask of civility in order to live among normal humans without detection of his true self.

Carol Boone was married to Bundy from January 1980 until January 1989 when Bundy was executed in Florida's electric chair.

Bundy had met his wife Carol while both worked on a local politician's campaign while he was still living in Seattle. Although they didn't marry until years later when Bundy was standing trial for three murders in Florida. Thanks to conjugal visits the couple had a daughter. After Bundy's execution on January 24, 1987 Carol changed her name and left the Florida area.

Bundy had the unfortunate habit of believing his own press. He was totally commited to the handsome, charming college-man image and did his best to perpetuate the myth. But I think it is safe to say that on some level Bundy knew he was not normal.

He changed the world by taking away the lives of people who had friends and families. He changed others by bringing fear into the lives of others.

If you mean as a Christian, he never did. Bundy was unchanged and mostly unrepentant until the end of his life. He felt bad for himself but he didn't feel any sympathy toward his victims. In fact, when given ample opportunity to come clean about other murders so families could finally bury their loved ones, Bundy refused, using the information to buy more time. When time did run out for him, he still refused to give up many names. He faced his death as he lived his life, completely for himself and without any conscious or remorse.

I have read numerous books about serial killer Ted Bundy and none contained any info that Bundy ever left the continental US.

In my search for the facts there seems to be conflicting accounts of Samuel Cowell, Bundy's maternal grandfather. There is still some speculation whether Bundy was the result of an incestous relationship between Samuel and Bundy's mother Louise. DNA would put that story to bed for good if Louise could be persuaded, which at this date, I doubt it.

By most accounts, Samuel Cowell could be more than stern, harsh would be the right word. He probably was not the easiest man to live with. This was more or less the contributing factor for Louise (Bundy's mother) to leave home. He was reported to have tortured animals just for the fun of it. We now know that is a red flag. So Ted may have been a victim of his own genetics and environment. But, and this is a big but, Bundy always had a choice.

According to John Douglas, former FBI criminal proifiler and bestselling author, Bundy developed several complex signature behaviors which include: keeping the bodies for days, shampooing victim's hair and applying makeup, decapitation, inserting objects into the vaginas of some of his victims. Although this list is not entirely inclusive, it does give one an idea of Bundy's particular signature behaviors.
