Actually, it's a reference to Andre the Giant's plans in the WWF to wear a mask and wrestle under the psuedonym "Giant Machine" after being "suspended" for a year after missing a tag team match while filming "Princess Bride." Of course, The Machine team's storyline in the WWF was plotted out far in advance to create drama and up ticket sales, etc., etc., etc... Fun inside joke, though.
