Tweedledum and Tweedledee are the two identical characters in the 1951 Disney movie Alice in Wonderland and in Lewis Carroll's book, Through the Looking Glass.

Lewis Carroll doesn't specify what type of animal the Hatter is, but we can see from John Tenniel's illustrations that he is a human being.

It is possible that Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland refers to or borrows from the relationship between those two queens. Iracebeth is probably at least partly a charicature of Elizabeth and there may be some connection between Mirana and Mary as both desired the crown for themselves and both were more or less imprisoned by their royal ememy.

It has also been suggested that the Red Queen may refer to Mary I (Bloody Mary) and it is the White Queen who represents Elizabeth I.

Nightmare 1 - Nancy 'defeats' Freddy in the final show down after pulling him out of her dream. Tim Burton's films are unlike any other, his visions for the film seem so clear in his mind as they all have that trademark Burton look.
