How do you adjust date on 1978 timex automatic wrist watch?
Wind it forward until the date changes. Now wind it backward until you hear a click (mine does it at 10:45) then forward again to midnight to change the date.
It is a pain compared to my Seiko which allows you to simply press the crown in until the date changes or other brands/models that have a two stage crown pull to set the day and/or date.

Are old Timex watches worth money?
a very old timex watch was an item I could not find a price in the internet even when many links wrote about them. Mostly for identification on especific models and showing the pictures of timex from the 20's and 30's past down to the next generation. I do figure an old timex watch in perfectly working condition would have value to collectors.

How do you calibrate an analog Timex tide watch?
I've owned one for a few months now,Calibration is easy. 1. pull the right hand middle button out once 2. press the left hand compasss button once (the needle will spin twice to let you know it's in calibration mode) 3. slowly spin the watch twice anti-clockwise (taking about 1 min throughout) 4. press the compass button again (needle will swing to and back at the top to let you know it found the magnetic North position) push the right middle button back in. Job Done.
