How do you use timex compass watch?
Hello, You have to calibrate it first. Depending on which model you have, you usually have to push the button on the top right side of the watch for a few seconds, rotate the watch twice with each rotation lasting at least 15 seconds, then enter the declination number for the area that you live in. After calibrating it, just push the same button on the top right side of the watch to display the direction you're heading in. I hope that helps.

The Catera has to be taken to the detailer and hooked up to a Tech II. Under Radio Options there is a place to change from military to standard.
How do you turn off the alarm on your watch?
Depends on the Baby G Model. On my wife's, there is a letter readout above the time (in a separate display really on the watch face) that tells the day of the week in normal watch mode. Push "Mode" (lower left side) until this display reads "AL" which indicates you are in alarm mode. Then use the alarm on/off button (upper right) to turn it off (there is a round circle on the right side of the display that shows when "AL" is on (indicated by a black dot) or off (lack of a black dot.)
Your model number is a three or four digital code (it should be the only one which is in inscribed in an inscribed box. No letters.)

OMG! It does not say in the instructions how to turn the alarm on or off but someone answered it on another website: push the 2 buttons on the right at the same time! After my husband and I spent an hour or so, each, this was so funny! It worked! Yay! No more waking up at 4:11 am!
The analogue digital baby g is more difficult to switch off. get to the alarm setting by pressing the mode button (bottom left) Then press the mode and the advance buttons at the same time (the two bottom buttons.) You will see that in the bottom window shaded third of a circle will move from alm (alarm) to sig. if you press it again it will go to dst. I don't know what they stand for but that should solve the problem.
There are several brands that carry watches with larger bands including Lane Bryant, Avenue, and Sears. If you already have a watch and just need a band you can try Watch Band Center or Extend-ITs.
How do you calibrate an analog Timex compass?
To calibrate compass, pull crown to MIDDLE position. Keep watch level or place on level surface (if band interferes, place watch on inverted cup). Watch may be face down, but take care to protect watch face. Press COMPASS push button to begin. Indicator hand rotates two revolutions to remind you to rotate watch. While level, SLOWLY rotate watch two revolutions, taking at least 15 seconds per revolution. This is critical in achieving proper calibration. When done, press any push button, keeping watch level. Indicator hand moves back and forth to acknowledge end of calibration and then moves to current declination angle setting. If you do not wish to set declination angle, push crown in. Otherwise, to have watch automatically compensate for declination angle, turn compass ring until north is at 12 o'clock. Press either TIDE or TEMP push button to move indicator hand east (+) or west (-) to point to your location's declination angle. On the Expedition analog compass watch:
If your needle has begun returning to the rest position pointing away from 12 o'clock, it will also be off from North by the same amount. To reset the rest position, pull the crown ALL the way out, and use the top & bottom right buttons to return it to the 12 o'clock position. Fix the time (clock will have stopped with the crown all the way out.) Push the crown back into the middle position and calibrate (above).

Ok. This took me a while so I hope this works for you. Press the MODE button until you get to SET. Then press the START/SPLIT button until it says TIME which could be about 7 times. I think I then hit OK/View until I got to TIME1. Then use the SAVE/STOP button to scroll down to MANUAL. Once that is blinking, you can hit the OK button to change the time manually. (Always hit OK to accept any information you put in) If you want to scroll up (hours/min/sec or date etc.) use the START to go up and the STOP to go down. When you get the information where you want it, hit OK and the watch will go to the next setting. It gets pretty easy from there. Hope this helps because it was frustrating as hell for me.
