I have tried this, and lo and behold, it does not work. It does succeed in causing much pain, though.

I have tried this and I always do it, it hurts for the first 20 or so seconds. But it dries out the skin around the ulcer and causes blood to rise to skin. It hurts for a bit but it stimulates healing. I have recommended it to a doctor and he now swears by it.

No pain no gain... unless you want to deal with the pain when you eat for 2weeks.

you can live with stomach and gut ulcers for years and years with symptoms but its best to get it sorted as soon as possible as the ulcer can perforate which will kill you or it can turn cancerous if it gets worse and worse and is not treated as someone who has a very bad ulcer i can tell you its best to get it sorted straight away otherwise you will be in serious trouble i used to drink a lot of coca cola years ago and have now paid the price now all i can drink is milk and water because it hurts my stomach to even drink lemonade so as i said get it sorted asap

-- Okay, I got a cartilage piercing about a month ago and everything was fine until about two weeks ago. It started to hurt really bad and it was sore constantly, but i thought it was just the healing process. Well, when i looked closer, it turns out i had a lump behind it. It was all red and gross, so i decided to pop it. It helped for a while, but the lump came back, so i went to see the person who pierced my ear. He told me that i had a small keloid. He told me that i should clean it out with salt water everyday or use neosporin on it every three days.

either way, he told me it would take about a month to clear up.

It was caused by bacteria that had gotten under the skin around my piercing, and it could very likely happen to a lip piercing too.

it'll go away if you clean and take care of it regularly.
