I can only suggest asking your doctor or finding out from the people who make the inhaler.
As a baseline, albuterol is considered by the DEA to be uncontrolled. But there are some states that consider otherwise. To be on the safe side, many vendors consider it controlled anyway.
Why has no one answered or approached this question? It's a drug that changes one's chemistry. My 8 yr depends on it to help contain this asthma... Why? I would employ anyone to begin discussion.
They can last forever. The only problem with using them past the expiration date is the longer the inhaler goes past the expiration date the less effective the medication will be.
I'm not a doctor and I hope you look farther in the matter than what I have to say but in my opinion, childrens medicine is a more subtle drug than adult medication. I take childrens Tylenol when I need Tylenol but still need to work so I'm not completely out of it. If you really need soemthing that will maybe knock you out for an hour or two than I would take a normal Tylenol and follow the correct dosage that is given on the box.
It shouldn't be because beta blockers can have the effect of bronchoconstriction which should be avoided in a person who is already prone to that problem.
it will not work and it will probably make you feel weird or make you have a sore throat. I've tried it once and it didn't work and plus I felt both weird and my throat became sore.
Speaking from personal experience, the two don't mix well. Albuterol is a beta agonist (an upper) NyQuil contains a beta agonist, pseudoephedrine. Taking them at the same time will just race your heart and increase your blood pressure. If your looking for a cough suppressant try getting a prescription for Tussionex.
