Why do people call Wal-Mart Wally World?
I coined this phrase in 1992 after watching the movie Vacation. I had gone into a Wal-Mart store for the very first time and it was amazing in comparison to the Kmarts and Sears of the time. I started using this phrase within my group of friends and it spread. I called it this because half of the name which is Wal was also part of Wallyworld which was the amusement park used in the movie Vacation. This store was like my amusement park of the time because we had nothing here in Arizona to go do but to frequent the local Wal-Mart. The term originated in 1992 in Arizona by T. Klimek.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc you lost your receipt can you get a new one?
Yes. If it was a walmart.com receipt, then you just log into your account and find the order number and can print out a new invoice. If it was done at a walmart store. You need to know as many items as you can remember your purchased on the same transaction (same receipt). What time it was done (rough idea), and what register. Then ask management at your local store to look it up for you. Sadly, not all managers know how to do this or will even have someone do it for you. They will say they dont keep track of them. It is saved on computers. The cash office, office associates may look it up for you though, so dont let them bluff you. wwamanager@yahoo.com

What does true digital prints mean at Wal Mart photo center?
In reality, when you print a photo they don't print it as a true 4x6 or 5x7. They always crop the top and bottom for the photo. So, for example, it is actually 4x5.3 instead of 4x6. When you print it in true digital they don't crop it at all so you get a true 4x6.
A receipt is issued when an item or items are purchased so a receipt is given to show the price of these items.
How much is a iPod touch at Walmart?
Well, I live in Texas, so I have no idea if the prices are the same everywhere at all walmarts, but I would think so. Online, it would cost $176.54 for an 8 GB. For a 32 GB, it would cost $262.54 and for a 64 GB, it would cost $344.54. I think all the prices are the same IN the store and ONLINE. Good luck and I hope I helped! (:
PS- You can also go to your local Walmart and check out the prices in the stores, or check online. That's what I did. (:

Is Walmart a department store?
Yes it is. Although it is a common misconception that stores such as Target and Walmart are not department stores because they do not have check outs in individual departments, they are technically considered discount department stores because they offer a wide range of goods and satisfy multiple needs.
How long do you have to work for Walmart before you can transfer Walmart stores?
You have to work for Walmart for 6 months unless its an emergency case before you can transfer to another stow.
You also cannot have any coachings on file as a general rule as well. It used to be that the managers/you contacted the store you wanted to go to, and work things out that way, but now walmart has created "career preferences", where you go onto the "wire" at work and submit your request. It is still best to contact the store in addition to this, to let them know more about yourself, instead of waiting for them to contact you. You also might have them tell you what positions they have open. Keep in mind that some stores promise positions, but then magically fill them when you come over, and you are stuck with something else.
How many bicycle do the assemblers at WAL-MART have to assembled per day?
At the store I work at the focus is on quality, and not quantity. The bikes we sell are utter garbage. < $100 for a 21-speed bike? lol? We know this, and take our time to make sure that each bike is "as good as it's gonna get." That said, my personal best for an 8-hour day was a 3 bike/hour average. +/- 24 bikes in one day for myself. Most were small 12" bikes that come packaged 2 to the box. The larger bikes (20"-26") can take 30-45min to build. The derailers on the cheaper bikes take the most time.
The average would be something like this:
26" bikes - ~9 / day
24" bikes - ~9 / day
20" bikes - ~11 / day
18" and under - ~16 / day
Those numbers are based on zero customer interruption throughout the day. Chances are that someone will return a bike, bring one in for some adjustments, or even require your assistance before purchasing a new bike. Also, Wal-Mart assemblers are not restricted to building bikes. They build furniture, store displays (playground equipment and the like), and any Site-to-Store item that has been ordered to be assembled. Each of these things affects the end result logirithmically.
If you're planning on buying an assembled bike from Wal-Mart I advise you to go over it once before you ride it; make sure everything's tight and well-adjusted.

man are you slow. I've been doing bicycles the last 6 1/2 years at walmart and i can do quantity and quality at the same time and do triple your stats on my best days. i can do what you do when I'm sick.your managers must not push you or you do not have much business. my store at the holidays does 30 - 40 bike sales a day. we also build anything and everything plus do maintenance.i was doing assembly, building maintenance, janitorial, cart pushing, safety team, equipment trainer, equipment operator every day.

I am a walmart associate and former salary manager. I think the person above did a great job at answering how many bikes they can assemble. I see that you asked how many does walmart require them to though. That is a great question. To be honest there is nothing put in writing on how many bikes a person must assemble a day. The bikes assemblers often are required to put together furniture and may also be required if need be to help put together items in lawn/garden. Most stores will look at how many outs they have on the bicycle rack and just be on the assembler to make sure the outs are put together and stocked if the store has the bikes, and of course put together any items customers are wanting put together (they are buying, etc.), and evaluate them on that.

Is profit always a good thing?
Well, you have to remember, if there is no profit there is no business. Businesses must make a profit in order to survive. In this sense profit is good. That being said, businesses should show social responsibility, and should be held accountable for what they sell and how they sell it. In this sense, profit made through means that hurt society or the individuals within a society (to include employees as well as customers) should be noted as not good.
