in most water parks water is re-used to save money on water bills but there is no way to save all the water used as a lot of it is splashed out.
This depends on the design of the waterpark. A water park in Niagara Falls uses 240,000 U.S. Imperial gallons of water are used in the 110,000 sq ft. indoor water complex.
There are five National Park Service sites: Grand Portage National Monument, Mississippi National River & Recreation Area, North Country National Scenic Trail,Pipestone National Monument , and Voyageurs National Park. There are 74 state parks in Minnesota taken care of by the Department of Natural Resources. What about California?
The First one is Typhoon Lagoon which opened on June 1, 1989 and is home to the world's largest outdoor wave pool. The theme of the park is the "Disney legend" of a typhoon that wreaked havoc upon a formerly pristine tropical paradise.
The Second on is Blizzard Beach which opened on April 1, 1996 and was the third WDW water park after River Country and Typhoon Lagoon. The theme of the park is the "Disney legend" of a freak snowstorm in the area, leading to the construction of Florida's first ski resort. Naturally, the snow didn't last long, leaving behind a collection of waterlogged but snow-less ski jumps and chair lifts. The failed resort was in the process of closing for good when an alligator was seen sliding down a flume and splashing into a pool of water, screaming "Yahoo!" Thus the "ski resort" was reborn as a water park, with the alligator (named "Ice Gator") as mascot.
The third one was called Fort Wilderness River Country or just River Country. On January 20, 2005, The Walt Disney Company announced that River Country would remain closed permanently. No reason was given that I could find.
Key Lime Cove is an indoor waterpark in Gurnee, IL (northern suburbs of Chicago). Also in Illinois are:
Most days in the Summer. They are closed sometimes during hurricane season in Florida and if there's a storm. They're also sometimes closed in Winter.
California holds the current (2009) record with 30 parks.
In Disney World there are 2, but there's a lot more in the state of Florida!
