wilt chaimberlain hade 100 points and 25 rebounds to along with 2 assists.
Wilt played his college ball at the University of Kansas. His NBA career was with the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers. After his NBA playing days, he spent one season as coach of the San Diego Conquistadors of the American Basketball Association.
Wilt left college after his junior year but, at the time, the NBA did not allow players who did not complete their senior season to play until that season was over. Wilt spent what would have been his senior season at Kansas playing for the Harlem Globetrotters.
50.4 is not the correct answer. I don't know the correct one, but 50.4 is what he averaged in points his SECOND season in the NBA. First season average was 37.6.
Wilt Chamberlain was born on August 21, 1936.
Wilt Chamberlain was involved in a major trade with the Lakers and 76ers, marking it the first time that last year's MVP had been traded. He was traded for Darrall Imhoff, Jerry Chambers, and Archie Clark.
5'11" Tommy Kearns Here's an excerpt from an article I found: "Before the championship game, Rosenbluth said, McGuire went down the bench asking each player a question. 'Are you afraid of Chamberlain?' Nobody said yes. Then he sent out the 5-11 Kearns to jump center for the opening tip, while the other four North Carolina players set up in a zone around the Kansas basket. 'I wanted to show them the zone we were going to use,' McGuire was quoted in some newspapers afterward. 'And I wanted to show how ridiculous it is to have anybody jump against Chamberlain. I told some of the photographers to be ready for that picture. It should have been a good one.'" Here's the link to that article. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/lopresti/2007-03-26-lopresti-1957-unc_N.htm
wilt chamberlien was better in stats 10 rebounding titles in 13 years, 7 straight scoring titles. But he only had 2 championships to Micheal's 6 rings. Micheal was by far better in the clutch. He did have impressive stats with 3 steals titles and 10 scoring. But take into accout MJ had Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. Wilt was on the lowly 76'ers and Warriors for the majority of his career and defintly his prime. In all depended on wilt to how far the team went. You can't say he didn't contibute with all his stats plus in '65 when he won his first championship with the 76'er he led the league in assits that year, a big man doing that! Plus he took his team to the Eastern Conference Finals numurous times in the 60's. All against the Celtics who had Bill Russel, Bob Cousy, and john havekiek. All in all i would say wilt because Micheal had the better team around him.
wilt chamberlain has to have children out there some where because he slept with about 20,000 ladys
On October 12, 1999, Chamberlain died in Bel-Air, California.
His agent Sy Goldberg stated Chamberlain died of congestive heart failure, and for about a month, doctors had been draining his legs of fluid that had accumulated because of the heart problem.
