What stadium has the shortest distance down the left field line to the foul pole?
Nerve pain or neuralgia refers to pain within a nerve, and it typically occurs when there is little stimulation in the pain receptor cells. When there is a change to the function or neurological component, pain is experienced—not when the stimulation of pain receptors takes place. Basically, nerve pain falls into two distinct patterns: peripheral and central neuralgia. When a rare pain is experienced, it is connected to four potential components: mechanically sensitive nerve, a malfunction of the ion gate, cross signals among the small and large fibers, and lastly a malfunction in the central processing unit.
Silas Mitchell was first to discover the implications of neuralgia, and in the American Civil War, he noticed that severe pain was present in patients that suffered nerve lesions in the areas relating to the extremities. This became important because of the obvious symptoms, although they stemmed more commonly from simple neurological lesions. At the point of discovery, Mitchell named this ailment causalgia, which nowadays is referred to as Complex Regional Pain System, either type 1 or type 2. The former is caused after a noxious event occurs, and the ladder refers to when there is evident nerve damage.
One of the major issues with neuralgia is that it is often very difficult to diagnose, and it seems that most treatments are rather fruitless. The proper diagnosis can take place when the right nerve is found based on sensory that is missing, or in some cases, when there is diminished motor functioning. Often nerve conduction tests or EMG tests can discern various culprits, but overall neuralgia can be pretty difficult to treat because it does not respond in a decent manner to standard pain medications. As a result, special pain medications have been created for neuralgia, and these drugs normally can be found under antidepressant medications or additional membrane stabilizing drugs. Neuralgia can often become involved in diseases that include sciatica and brachial plexopathy. Sometimes very basic mannerisms and behavior that include talking, eating, washing, and light facial sensations can create the symptoms of the disease. The painful attacks occur in bunches that remain constant, or among attacks that take place in short intervals.
What is the 3rd oldest stadium in major league baseball now that Yankee Stadium is gone?
Dodger Stadium is. It has been open since 1962.
A 1961 New York Yankees World Series Full Ticket played at Yankee Stadium is worth about $200. -$250. and a ticket stub about $75.- $125. Condition of the ticket stub is important. The slightest flaws could bring the price down significantly. Common flaws include; rips, creases, stains, and fading. Ticket stubs that are not ripped cleanly will also sell for less. A 1961 New York Yankees World Series program played at Yankee Stadium is worth about $100.-$150. in excellent - near/mint condition. As with all collectibles, condition is the most important factor of all providing that the item is authentic. With programs/scorecards the slightest flaws will bring the price down significantly. An exceptional mint condition scorecard could sell for more.
Common flaws would be staining, foxing (yellowing), fading, creases, rips, loose pages, cracked binding, and writing on the cover. Un-scored programs will generally sell at a higher price than a scored program but sometimes it doesn't effect value. The over all condition, and how well the cover displays will.
The value on a "scored" program as opposed to a un-scored program can vary depending on the game, and collectors preference. In general I would say an un-scored program will sell at a higher price. Some collectors do not mind scored programs, or might prefer it scored. For more information on World Series Tickets, and programs see Related Links below.

Who was the first girl to hit a home run?
I am not sure if it was the first .... but in the Spring of 1996 a sophomore girl named Kelly Snelson played second base on her boys varsity hs baseball team (Rosebud HS, Rosebud Ark). She earned national attention and a write up in Sports Illustrated by "belting a 300 foot grand slam home run over the right field fence in Rosebuds's 13-4 victory." She was apparently a great athlete having been the MVP of her softball and volleyball teams the year before - so the baseball team recruited her to play and the move paid off! :-) Also around the the same time period the Colorado Silver Bullets were a team of profession female baseball players who played against men's teams - Kim Braatz, Pam Schaffrath, Lisa Martinez and Tammy Holmes all hit long home runs over the fence on full sized regulation fields. Girls have been playing baseball for 100 years so these were most likely not the first homers ever hit by girls .... but they are the first to be well publicized.

How do you make a model stadium for a kid's project?
a model stadium is kind of tough. i wo9uld suggest you start with the scaffolding. You can use clay and then paint it, or use card board or mesh. if you wanted to use clay, you could shap a large cone, since the seatig generally goes in that pattern. then, if you use clay, you could use paper towel tubes to make the tunnels the football teams or whoever walks out of. the seating will be kind of tricky. Since you made the clay cone gradually sloping, now youll need to levbel off sections like stairs all around, so you can place the seats on the ledges. be sure to stop the seating at some point. You can use the little pizza tables as seats, or just paste in pictures of chairs. dollhouse furniture might work. finally, paint it and place it on cardboard for a base. you might want to do that first. Hope your kid gets an A!
