No. Nothing firing a projectile is legal on a commercial airline. Most of the times you have to tell at the check in that you have a fire arms replica and it has to be unloaded. So usually you have to tell that its a fake/toy gun just so that you don't have trouble with it :)

DEFINITELY DO NOT try and travel with it carry-on, TSA will put you on the no-fly list and a one-way ticket to a federal prison. When I go hunting out of state, I check all of my firearms in a locked case and notify TSA that I am traveling with a firearm. Your air soft gun could be considered a deadly weapon, so if you are going to travel with one make sure you follow the rules.

You can bring a co2 airsoft gun onto a plane but there are several things you need to do to make sure it's legal:

1.) The airsoft gun must be in a checked bag not a carrion bag.

2.) There must be no co2 or bbs in the magazine and the magazine must be removed from the gun.

3.) you must declare the item at the baggage check in (i.e tell the person checking the bags that you have an airgun in one of them).

I believe you have to tell someone who works for the airline first and then have them put it in the cargo hold of the airplane.

They have to be in your checked baggage, unloaded, and declared at the ticket counter, the same as if you were transporting an actual firearm by plane.
