I believe you can delete an entire answer. Of course, it will never be deleted permenantly; any edits to the question or answer are logged in the history.
Go onto settings then safari and scroll down and you should find a bar that says clear history then go back onto the Internet and at the bottom of the screen there will be a pic of an open book click it then press history then at the bottom of the screen there is a clear button press that then you have cleared your entire web history
If you're using Internet Explorer - Click on Tools then click on Internet Options. That page will let you delete everything. If you're not using Internet Explorer, ask again and tell us what search engine you're using.
Actually, when it "re-enters" or highlights your history search you can press the Delete button on your keyboard and delete the highlighted history and it is going to delete it.Though, I must say that it's only going to delete that and nothing else. Barring that, a good computer forensic examiner will still be able to recover all sorts of artifacts that will show so much that it won't much matter if you delete your history or not. Deleting your history only prevents a casual examiner from seeing where you have been.

You can delete the entire mails from the Accounts. There is a setting called Accounts in Gmail. There is the last option of deleting all the data.
