- After your phone is unlocked, you can now root your HTC One.
- Reboot the phone.
- Download the both the TWRP recovery file (see Related Links) to your PC (place it in your Fastboot and ADB files) and the SuperUser zip file (see Related Links) and transfer it over to your One in its internal storage.
- Go to the command prompt on your PC and while USB plugged, put your One in Fastboot mode. Type "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" (no quotations) and press the Enter key.
- Once that is done, turn off your One, and turn it on and put it in Bootloader mode (volume down and power button keys at the same time). Choose Recovery and wait for it to load. It should take you to the TWRP recovery app. Choose Install and then look for your SuperUser zip that you stored in the phone. That app will then be flashed onto your One.
- Reboot your phone and you should now be rooted.
