So Bill Gates can make money.
Bill Gates does not make money off Windows. He is a shareholder, and as much as people say he owns Microsoft, NO he does not. I don't think he is even the largest shareholder anymore.
Windows is expensive for a few reasons. First, the development time. Windows 7 took about 1000 programmers to make (I read an article from one of the project managers), then far more marketing, sales, and distribution people, all of which have to get paid. Just speaking of programmers, if on average a person made $90K (varies wildly by experience), $90K x 1000 = $90 MILLION. It cost far more than that. Development, R&D, testing, graphic designers, managers, packaging, and more.
They have to get the money back somehow and make a profit.
Intel does the exact same thing. It typically costs over a billion dollars for R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and much more to make a CPU. Actual cost of the chip is usually under $50, but they have to get that money back somehow, and make a profit, so they charge $200 for the CPU. ALL technical companies do this.
If you think Windows is expensive at an average of $120 for the home version, you should see the cost of their ENTERPRISE software, such as SQL, Exchange, and Visual Studio. Some of that stuff runs between $1000 to over $25,000, depending on features and licensing. Those are intended for businesses.
Again, Bill Gates is not making money off every product sold. He owns shares, and everybody that does gets a dividend. He used to be majority shareholder, but not anymore. For those of you who insist that he gets most of his money from Microsoft, think again. Look at his public portfolio. I read only about 15% (I forget exactly) of it is Microsoft, the rest is many other companies he invests in.
Airplanes are often pressurized. A large window would be excessively difficult and expensive to make it strong enough to not blow out. So they use small windows on airplanes.
Anderson windows are energy effecient windows, so yes, buying them will save you money. However, it will not save money when you purchase the Anderson windows because they are more expensive than other windows. I believe in the long run, it will even itself out though.
Windows 7 Home Premium
No I'm afraid that Windows 7 is an operating system that you must have installed on your computer. If your computer meets the specifications it's not very expensive so I would recommend buying it.
Windows
Linux is free. However, this question can be taken at an angle of total cost of ownership or time cost investment. Since specific versions or distributions are not specified this cannot be answered. Some RedHat versions can be more expensive than some Windows versions. Linux sometimes takes more time to maintain than Windows, so overall it can switch license costs into time costs. If Windows systems take fewer employees to run, then the higher initial license costs can be viewed as necessary and Windows as "less expensive" over time. For a private party on a personal computer, Linux like Ubuntu, can be less expensive to install and operate.
To have good lighting and allow more natural heat in the house during winter months; also on summer months those windows are opened to take advantage of the summer breeze. Electricity is expensive in Mexico, and many people can't afford air-conditioning systems, so they use the least expensive, most common-sense approach: more and bigger windows.
Mini Notebook NB505-N508BL so far is the best. It is not so expensive and it has Genuine Windows 7 Starter (32-bit) and Intel Integrated Graphics. That is my choice.
windows ignores deadlocks as handling them is much expensive and causes performance overhead
Not directly. You can format the hard drive and install Windows XP cleanly. You can upgrade directly to Windows XP Professional (which is more expensive).
It may be expensive to keep schools open in the summer because you are running the air conditioning. Why not just open the windows and let fresh air in. Or take a month or so off in the summer.
you are so stupid this is COMPUTER windows not house windows!
