Yes but do not be suprised by the fact that alot of people probably already know what he/she is. Alot of people just don't think they are worth it. They wont even bother saying that the N is cause hes not worth their time. I guarantee there are people seeing through their act. They are NOT as clever as they think. I remember telling a N that he used me like a puppet to get a reaction and hurt me by his control. I then said, "in the end you were the puppet cause I knew ALL along what you were doing and by the way your not very good at it." I never talked to him again after that and never will. N's are sometimes the laughing stock.

AnswerYes they can but it may be short lived. Remember N's spin their webs with any group of people in their new lives, it just depends on circumstances & possible conflicts on a day to day basis. I lived & worked with an N (same one) & when I confronted him on business issues (simple reprimands for sloppy work or in appropriate behavior) he would walk away like a beaten dog & would immediately go around & tell people all sorts of unrelated Horror stories about me & the way I treat him. This went on for 5 years & it's amazing how far they go & how much energy they put into telling perfect strangers or casual acquaintances (as in regular store clerks) negative & destructive lies about the significant people in their lives that blast holes in their false lives.

This N did the same thing to a friend of ours, first he made the two of us HATE each other (worked on us separately with very different lies) but he finally made a fatal error by putting the two of us in the same room for longer that 3 hours. We rekindled our friendship & then the fun began: two NS (Narcissistic Supplies) started comparing notes. Well we were both shocked & disappointed at the deception & we both came to the same conclusion of Narcissism at the same time.

The downfall (& inverse narcissistic success) of the N's current life is hinged on the fact that the significant characters in his play are not speaking to each other & hate each other (all carefully & painstakingly manufactured & executed by the N) because once they start to compare notes the N's current life is destroyed & he will have to move on.

The other reason N's are so good at deceiving all the members of a circle of friends & acquaintences is they work very, very hard to discredit & isolate everyone in the main groups from each other. It's an instinctive, automatic & they've been training, practicing & honing their skills for a lifetime. And of course narcissists are very charming when they need to be (like good actors).

This is a very serious & destructive personality disorder.
