Well you can get the blackberry phone any network but it depends in what shop you buy it in. :)
Kajeet is on the Sprint CDMA network, so they do not use SIM cards.
It can go out to other GSM carriers in other countries via a SIM Card which you must buy. Most other countries use GSM networks. It is the CDMA network countries that are less common; the ony ones with CDMA (and GSM) are the US, China, Japan, Korea, India, and other countries around there.

You can buy a Blackberry at your local Walmart or Target Store. You can also purchase a Blackberry online at the Blackberry official website. They can handle all of your needs.
I guess there would be many sites selling that. But if you want to go for unlocked blackberry 8220, you could get it on 20north dot com. They sell unlocked cell phones and ship it from the US to India. I got a plam treo pro for myself. Works just fine.

Well if you're a good person with touch screens you should probably buy an iPhone, but some BlackBerry's have a touch screen as well, so that does NOT mean you SHOULDN'T buy a BlackBerry!...But for me you should buy and iPhone! They are MUCH better looking than the BlackBerry 9700! Trust me!
