If they know how to turn the computer on and this is the extent of their expertise you probably have nothing to worry about. If you are worried about just any shmo reading your stuff use a digitaly secured email service. (even still these can be read but the hacker must want to read about what color your underware is pretty badly if he (or she) is taking the time to crack that... of course the gov't already knows you like pink so the secret is out... sury mate.
