buy an iPhone
So I reside in a remote area without phonesignal. The hotel I stay in has WiFi but for some reason only my iPhone is able to recognise the network. Essentially I want to turn my iPhone into a hotspot but this feature only seems to work using the Internet from my phone provider and that signal is non-existent so is there a way to 'bridge' the WiFi signal from the hotel's network via my iPhone to my Windows laptop?so that's how I did it I practised it as my practical in school
At the moment, No. But when iOS 4.3 is released in a couple of months it can with the new Hotspot feature

To tether your Apple MacBook Pro using your iPhone, first ensure that your iPhone has Personal Hotspot enabled in Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot. Then, on your MacBook Pro, click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar and select your iPhone from the list of available networks. Enter the password if prompted, and your MacBook will connect to the internet via your iPhone's cellular data. Alternatively, you can also connect via USB or Bluetooth for tethering.
The iPhone 5 was preceded by the iPhone 4S.
