From Street View in Google Maps while viewing a panorama pressing the letter "t" or the number "3" enables 3D mode. This feature, however, is not yet implemented in Google Earth simply because Google decided to first implement the stereoscopic 3D feature in Google Maps presumably because there is a lot more users of Google Maps than Google Earth. With enough demand the Google Earth developers may add this to a future version of Google Earth.

In other words can the resolution of imagery in Google Earth (or Google Maps) allow you read the text on tombstones. In practice Google's high resolution Street View photographs allow you to read larger letters on T-Shirts and most street signs. Google Street View takes imagery on public roads so it's not likely to capture such photographs in a cemetery but if Google did take Street View photographs in such a place then it would be possible to read some of the large letters on the tombstones if the contrast and lighting was good. So in theory you could with enough-resolution read the large print letters. If anybody finds a readable tombstone inscription in either Google Earth or Google Maps then add a note in the Discussion Area of this topic.
Google provides a number of ways to share places. One way is the "Share" menu option in Google Earth which allows you to share your places with the Google Earth Community. You can right-mouse click on a placemark or folder then select "Share with Google Earth Community". Another way is Google's Map Maker which allows you to make edits to the map, move placemarks, add/changes labels, etc. and if those changes are accepted, your edits/changes will eventually be reflected in Google Earth and Google Maps. Note that Map Maker is not available in all areas and countries. See related links below for more detail.
