Instead of responding to someone by a normal cell phone call you type a message on your phone keyboard and send it via the cell phone' text messaging service. It is a feature in your messages folder. Check your inbox there. You probably have text messages there you never look at. I just checked mine and found 5. Read your cell phone instruction book for more complete help.
