You need a modem. If all the internet you have is wired but no wireless, you need to go to a store like staples and get a wireless router (netgear is a good quality for as low as $40) and plug the ethernet (cat5/6) cable into it. On your iPod a wifi named "NETGEAR." Click on it and you should be up. To edit settings, look at papers in package.
