I just called Seiki about the same issue (I have a 32" LCD). They indicated that the TV was "designed" to default to the 4:3 aspect ratio if you're getting the signal via an indoor antenna or a coax cable plugged into the wall. Very dumb, IMHO!
Seiki TV's are made by the company Seiki Digital. The company is owned by Tsinghua Tongfang Company, a Chinese company.
52 inches wide.
Most Seiki tv use Samsung parts try codes from them
I don't know but I do know that the program codes for a lg works to program a dish remote to control a seiki tv.
when watching tv why we advice to stay atleast 3 meter away from tv screen
The Samsung LN46B650 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color is a wide-screen Tv with 16:9 aspect ratio.
Unless you alter the screen ratio, you'll have vertical bars on your screen.
No, Samsung does not make Seiki TVs. Seiki Digital is an independent company that produces its own line of budget-friendly televisions. While both brands are in the electronics market, they operate separately and have different manufacturing processes and product lines.
I heard from a saleman at HHGregg that Seiki uses Samsung parts. And for anyone who can't get their Comcast or Direct TV remote to learn the Seiki code... try using a Samsung code. It worked for me, I used code 10178!
Avoid Magnavox.
