there should be a thing at the left side when you are about to upload a picture it should say "change background" click it it pops up you can upload your own picture or pick one that's already on Photobucket

Click on the settings tab at the top, then the Design tab. Click on change background image which is located at the bottom beneath the various themes. You can then browse for a picture on your computer to use as your background. You can't upload pictures straight from photobucket, tinypic etc so make sure you have it saved to your computer.
On photobucket look at the codes and then it says "Html" that one. [PS: Make sure you re-size it to fit your page nicely.]
