These steps seem simple enough, but this is going to depend on your level of knowledge and skill. Buying a domain name is probably going to be the easiest task on the list.

Finding the right hosting provider can be somewhat a chore if trying to be cost conscious. You will need a hosting provider that can offer you reliable connectivity for your site. Down time can ruin the moment of purchase for customers as well as web surfers trying to find your site. Pricing is variable in the industry. While it may make sense to go the cheapest route, you want to think this out in long term. If you decide to move down the road, will it be hard to transfer all your web documents to a new server/hosting? Pay the extra if necessary when shopping for hosting.

The easiest but not as cost conscious way to go about the entire ordeal would be to use Yahoo services to buy your domain, host, and create your website. They have various promotions at times and make it easy for the beginner to set up a decent website. GoDaddy also offers the same type of services as well.

Here it is. open notepad or wordpad and save it but you have to save it without spaces and whatever you name it end it with ".html" Then when you re-open it, right-click, open with wordpad or notepad, whichever you used before. to start your website you need to know programing. you can use HTML, Purl, Css, Javascript and lots of others. I recommend HTML for beginners. so to make a simple page with Html type this <title/> <head/> <body> <body/> <html/> Inside the title tags: <title> <tile/> you put the title of the page. this will show at the top of the window, and on the tab. In the head tags you put information you don't want to be seen on the page itself. in the body tags you put what you want to be on the page. you will want to learn at least some Html to do this. A little Html. Table tag: <table style="height: 100%; width: 100%; border-spacing: 0px" cellspacing="10"> <tr> <td style="height: 10px; background-color: somecolor" colspan="3"> <tr> <td style="background-color: red; vertical-align: top; padding: 10px; border-right-style: ridge; border-right-color: Black; border-right-width: medium; width: 195px"> </td> everything else goes here. <td style="background-color: red; vertical-align: top; padding: 10px; border-right-style: ridge; border-right-color: Black; border-right-width: medium; width: 195px"> </td> </table> This adds a border in the sides and top. :) Music tag: <embed src="titleofthesong.wma" autostart="true" loop="true" width="2" height="0"> </embed> This adds background music. NOTE: You must have this file saved in the folder that your page is in. Image tag: <img src="yourimagename.jpg" /> You can probably guess that this puts an image on your page. :) If you want to align it left, right or center do it like this: <img src="yourimagename.jpg" align="left"/> Those are 3 simple things to know. To put your page on the web, you need to get someone to host it or get the programing to do it yourself.
