Apparently there is no control on the answers given. How do you correct or eliminate an inappropriate comment?
On the left side of the screen there is a blue area. In that area are the words "Edit answer." Click on that to remove an inappropriate comment. See the TOU rules to determine what is or is not an inappropriate comment.

On your own post you can delete any comment, but on others post you can only delete your comment only.

Actually, there is a section to comment about questions and answers. You will note a box called "Discussion" just above the "Cancel" icon. Click on that box and discuss. In addition, if you would like to make a comment directly to the person who answered the question, there is a message function as well. I personally have received lots of comments about my answers.

How do you remove a comment?
Typically removing a comment can be achieved by clicking on the menu or the pencil on the inner and upper right of the comment box itself. Most web sites offer directions to move comments that are unwanted from their pages.
