To root the Epic 4G, you'll need to download a rooting tool like SuperOneClick or use a custom recovery tool like ClockworkMod Recovery. First, enable USB debugging in the phone's settings under Developer Options. Connect your device to your computer, run the rooting software, and follow the prompts. After the process completes, your device should be rooted, allowing you to install custom ROMs and apps that require root access.
fat vaginas.... oh, and bigger screen
As with all Sprint phones, the Epic is CDMA
While the Samsung Intercept is a middle of the line phone, if you want 4G you need to move up to the Samsung Epic 4G which is top of the line. Both phones are good androids, but the Epic is the winner if you want a 4g connection.
The BlackBerry Curve 9350 does allow for WiFi connection to a home network, but it is not 4G speed. If 4G is a priority I would look into theSamsung Epic 4G, HTC EVO 4G, Motorola Photon 4G, or the BlackBerry 4G PlayBook.
Samsung Epic 4G Touch
For the Samsung Epic 4G, parts can be bought online from either the company itself or from a third party. To repair it, it is best to go to the Sprint store, which is one of its companies.
its a matter of opinion
Sprint is the carrier for the Samsung Epic 4G smart phone. It is available for purchasing in a Sprint carrier store, online at the Sprint website (Sprint.com) and even available on Amazon.com.
Yes, it does support 4G. Its also super fast, and the screen is amazing. It has tons of other fantastic features (like Swype) too. You will certainly be able to connect to your home network with the Galaxy Epic.
I got mine for a great price on ebay. I paid $150 for it and it was like new condition.

yes you can, but it costs money, if you click it it wont charge but it also wont let you tether, i recently talked to a sprint rep. about this, it costs 30 dollars a month as of today. i am trying to find a root for the Samsung Epic to be able to root for the default Hotspot, and my brother used Z4 root on his Evo, although there is no network access from it, it doesn't cancel out the Hotspot. so if you are interested in rooting it i am sure there is a way out there that will let you do it for free.
