The space between the terminal button of one neuron and the dendrite of another neuron is called the synaptic cleft. Neurotransmitters are released from the terminal button and diffuse across this space to bind to receptors on the dendrite, allowing communication between the two neurons.

The synaptic cleft is the area of the neuron that secretes neurotransmitters.
The terminal buttons are located at the end of the neuron and are responsible for sending the signal on to other neurons. At the end of the terminal button is a gap known as asynapse. Neurotransmitters are used to carry the signal across the synapse to other neurons.

well first off.. it's not jailbroken, silly. LOL.. It's just bricked.. try holding down both the home button and the power button together while it's plugged into your computer. Hopefully the screen will tell you to connect it to a computer, which it already will be, and itunes will say that it's found an ipod in recovery mode. go through the steps to restore the thing and voila! Hope this helped.
At the top you will find a button that will say history
try doing a total restore with your ipod touch. If its jailbroken, there should be a fix wifi button with the program you used to hack it.
