1. Transfer old photos from phone to computer in a folder.
2. Connect your iPhone to iTunes.
3. On the "Photos" tab in the iPhone device page in iTunes, select sync Photos.
4. Now select the folder which contains the images.
5. Sync your iPhone.

When your phone came in the post or from a stor a usb cable should have come with it. Connect your phone to your computer using this and drag and drop files from the correct folder. If using an iPhone you will have to sync your phone with itunes...Hope this helps from scottadroid :D
