There are currently two types of iPads: a Wi-Fi model, and a Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
The Wi-Fi model can connect anywhere there is a Wi-Fi signal. Just turn on Wi-Fi in Settings, and connect to a network.
Additionally, the Wi-Fi + Cellular model can connect to a data network on any of the supported mobile carriers (AT&T and Verizon in the USA). You must purchase a data plan on a per-month basis; cancel any time. The newest iPads feature LTE connectivity, for lightning fast download speeds.
No.
If you have the Cellular model and have inserted a sim-card, then yes you will (assuming you have 3G where you are) connect to the internet.
Hi,Is it possible to connect to the internet on my iPad mini using my sony ericsson phone and data?
That's not possible, You can only Use the Internet on Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi and 3G on 3G Models of the iPad.
If you do purchase an iPad with 3G, you will not need home wireless internet. But you can also connect to a home wireless internet with an iPad with 3G. You will need to pay monthly for the AT&T 3G fees.
Only is you wish to use it to connect to the internet.
The iPad is certainly internet capable, but internet is not a necessity unless you want to download any apps, music etc... alternatively you could connect the iPad to a itunes capable computer, and upload from there. Either way, internet is needed.
The iPad requires a wireless network that it can join. At home this would be your own Internet provider connection via a wireless router.
There is no known way to accomplish this because iPad was by Apple and the 3DS was by Nintendo, they don't support each other.
because it has a especial program that it is set for the factory call bios that set it that way.
Ipad as a wifi device will connect to the network which is near by..if the network is free of charge than its free.
IPad wifi is similar to any other electronic that uses the wireless internet around them. It takes a touch of a button to connect. It can be set to automatically find the internet and connect to it if the settings are toggled just right.
