How is it that this site can't answer any of my questions?

There are several reasons why your question may not be answered. * If your question is complex it may take some time to answer it. * If your question is poorly worded or does not contain enough information, it is unlikely to be answered. * WikiAnswers volunteers cannot possibly address all the thousands of questions that can come in daily.

Speaking ONLY for myself......I do not answer obvious homework questions. It's a student's job to learn, not for me to do their work......I do not answer silly or stupid questions that were posted only to shock or disgust someone.......I will not make up an answer that I am not sure of........If I THINK or BELIEVE but am not 100% sure it's the right answer, I try to say that upfront. No one has ALL the answers to ALL the questions. ----

This website tries to answer all questions. However please understand that the people answering them are not being payed to do this, they are just volunteers.

Also, while none of us knows all the answers, we hope that between us we can cover a wide range knowledge.

I am sorry your questions have not been answered, It could mean that there is nobody contributing that knows the answer, or it could be that we do not quite understand what your question is about.

For instance this sort of question:

Where is grassland middle school at?

Is very difficult to answer - (I can see it is about a school but how can I understand where the questioner is talking about or indeed what they want to know)

while this sort of question:-

What are smooth-bores?

Is much easier to answer - (a smooth-bore is a type of gun barrel).

When you ask a question remember that the people providing answers are from all over the world and you need to ask your question very clearly. (The points made above are also well made)

Because the questions on this site are answered by other people online volunteering their time and knowledge to the site. This means that questions sometimes have to wait until someone who has the answer you are looking for happens to visit the site, see your question and answer it.

If you require the answers faster I suggest you use Google or wikipedia to research them yourself.

If WikiAnswers is not helping you, try being more specific in your questions so it is easier for contributors to answer. Also, remember, not all contributors have time to answer every question when they are submitted. If you are having problems, contact a user of the site. If you are experiencing major problems, contact a Supervisor or WikiGuide so they can help you with your questions or problems with the site.

Maybe you're not making your question specific enough?
It is because you have to wait until someone has seen your question and knows the answer to your question.
