Go to the pet shop when doing the quest and look for a note. the note will have the agent secret code on it, so use the agent secret code in the bottom right corner of your Club Penguin screen to figure out what the note says and the note tells you how many socks he owns.

Well i did. My answer was i think 86. But i saved the penguins and got a medal of gratitude. The purple and green puffles are on the top of the mountain. Oh and make sure you read the puffle letter in the pet shop. Farewell!
