Sentences that are meaningless filler (which is generally discouraged anyway) like "good luck" or "hope this helps" will not be counted (even if they're more than three words, unlike the two examples given).

Every time there is a new AnswerThon announced, you'll need to sign up. During the AnswerThon event, you'll need to make sure you're logged into your Answers.com account in order for your answers to be counted towards your total. You cannot restart the AnswerThon. It only happens for two days, and then that's it. If you couldn't answer many questions, then you couldn't answer many questions. You'll have to wait until the next AnswerThon to try again.
The AnswerThon winners are usually announced on the AnswerThon Home Page within 10 days of closing the AnswerThon challenge.
