The iPhone 3G is being subsidized by AT&T, or whoever your local iPhone service company may be, unlike the original. This means that the iPhones themselves will be cheaper; $199 for an 8 GB or $299 or a 16 GB. However, AT&T has made the internet fee for the iPhone 3G $10 a month higher than for the original iPhone. NOTE: I don't actually know if all the international carriers are raising their prices for internet, but Steve Jobs said that the max for the iPhone 3G itself would be $199 or $299, depending on the version. However, if you live in the USA, your phone bill will be (at least) $10 higher a month for a 3G than an original.
