My best guess is that the blocked person will find another way to contact you (e.g. Come to your house, Call your land line or those of mutual acquaintances, Mail, etc.)
I've had some personal experience with this, but mynarcissist had a lot of other issues as well.

some land line phone companies allow you to block all private or unknown numbers......If you can check your account from your computer you can do it that way or call your phone company. As far as cell phones Im unsure.
