Instant-on feature generally only consumes about 5-7 watts of power, and most TV's that use that feature also has what's called a `switched mode power supply'. I'm of the opinion that it's better to let the power supply run continually rather than completely remove power and switching the power on and off. From what I've experienced, it seems to be harder on the electronics, especially as the power supply ages. It's one thing to completely remove power for several days at a time say for instance, if you're going away on vacation, but switching the power daily or several times a day could be causing more stress in the long run. And of course, if it fails, any savings you may have had will be quickly eaten up as part of the repair bill.
The switch may be broken, or there may be a wiring problem to the switch, causing a short that bypasses the control. Check the switch and the wires running to it.
It is not 'wasting' energy; it is using energy to maintain a number of functions and keep them standby for instant use. If you do not want to waste battery energy, switch off the phone completely.
it is the blower motor resistor. it works on high because on high it bypasses the switch
A power switch in a monitor is a physical button or toggle that allows users to turn the monitor on or off. It can be located on the front, side, or back of the monitor, depending on the design. Some monitors also feature an automatic power-saving mode that activates after a period of inactivity, which can be managed through the power switch. This feature helps conserve energy when the monitor is not in use.
soft switch
To disable a kill switch the wiring would have to be modified to bypass the switch. This is not advisable as the switch is a safety feature.

To adjust the dimming feature on your ceiling fan, locate the dimmer switch on the fan or the remote control. Use the switch or remote to increase or decrease the brightness of the light. Refer to the fan's manual for specific instructions on adjusting the dimming feature.

You cannot declare variables inside a case label. Declare them outside of the switch.
No, a light switch is not potential energy by itself. It is a device that controls the flow of electricity to a light bulb, converting electrical energy into light energy when turned on.
