"Pixels" is rated PG-13 (in the United States) which does not really restrict anyone from attending.
Using Auto Movie is easy. Simply import all the Media you wish to use in the project. Then click the Auto Movie button on the menu. It will put all the media you imported into a project complete with effects and transitions. Once it is done, you can go back and make whatever changes you wish. A nice feature that makes editing quick and easy.
