Is there a way to trace a text messege?

yes there is a special hard drive that monitours everything that you do in your computer and can be actually looked at and everything you've ever saved or looked at on your computer can be seen. Ive watched my cousin do this on my computer, the only way to delete everything is to completely wipe out your hard drive.

If it was just a text message sent from another cellular phone number, the cell phone number should be included in the text message. You can take the cell number and run it through Google to see if it's listed anywhere, or you can call it up and try to talk to the person who answers.

If you get a weird spammy text message from a five digit number, you can report it to your cellular carrier, who should be able to look up the five digit text message number and identify what company it's associated with. (Those 5 digit text message numbers usually charge you money if you reply back to them, so be careful of those!)

Alot of those 5 digit text message things are just flat out scams, and if you get repeated and unwated/unsolicited text messages from them, you should report it to your cellular carrier and possibly even the FCC or FTC... I'm pretty sure both the FCC and FTC have online complaint forms.

There is a way to track texts, but you can't see what's in the text. That would break a privacy policy. To retrieve the contents of texts you must have a court order. Without it all you can see is the date received/sent and the phone number

You can only do it if one of the computers has IM logging turned on. It is turned off by default. Go to the Preferences and look under Logs.
