Both Google and answers work how they are, no need to change it now.
Google tried Google Answers in the past and it is now out of commission. Yahoo! already has their own answers site, Yahoo! Answers. Answers.com is a competitor to Yahoo! Answers. There's no way to predict whether Google or Yahoo might buy out Answers.com or whether Answers.com might buy out web properties from Google or Yahoo in the future.
it doesn't but it hopes to attract Google to buy it out

WikiAnswers is actually owned and managed by Answers Corporation. It is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol ANSW. I personally think it is a buy with all of it's potential. It is a rapidly growing company that seems undervalued at current prices.
