Yes. I'm certainly no expert, but I recently used my shop-vac to clean up my spa and drain the remaining 20 or so gallons in the bottom.
I took the filter out and removed the drain plug from the bottom of the canister. It didn't have as much suction as I thought, so as the hose filled up, I lifted it up and let the water drain into the canister. I had to shut off the vacuum to let the water drain out, then continued. It took a while, but was pretty easy.
of course. you should change your sand every 8-10 years. use a shop vac to get it out.
No, it is not recommended to use a shop vac without the filter for cleaning purposes as the filter helps to trap dust and debris, preventing it from being released back into the air.
u can use a aqueon 55 gallon filter
A quality filter such as AC/Delco is the filter your should use.
You should replace your furnace filter every 1-3 months, depending on the type of filter and how often you use your furnace.
every fish should have a filter exept bettas
Sugest you use one of the cleaners that are made to do this job available from the pool shop.
It depends on what you want to use it for!
If you have a power filter it should come with the required filter media. Firstly follow the directions on how to position the filter and where to place the media. If the aquarium is a planted one there is no need to do much other than turn it on because the plants will have some good aerobic bacteria that will end up lodged in the filter media where you want it. If the tank is a bare tank you will need to cycle the filter either by adding some old but freshly used filter media or purchasing some filter cycling bacteria at a pet shop. There is another more complicated method using Ammonia but I won't go into that here. If the filter is air as opposed to power driven, you can use whatever filter media is recommended by the pet shop and use the above techniques to cycle it.
If you're talking about your pool filter, it should be set to filter or run. Use the bypass or recirculate setting if you wish to circulate the water without having the water pass through the filter. Use the backwash setting to clean the filter.
Find the filter located somewhere on the engine block. Remove it, making sure the old gasket is not left behind. You may need to use a filter wrench if it is too tight to be removed by hand. Wipe the mounting surface with a clean shop towel to remove any debris. Now apply a slight amount of oil to the new filter gasket. Install the new filter and tighten it 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. NO MORE, NO LESS!!!
For the best brewing results, use a medium grind filter for your coffee.
