Cleopatra VII was the last Greek Pharaoh and the only one who learned the Egyptian language. She was supported by 2 Roman generals~ Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. When Augustus gained power over the Roman Empire, he declared war on Antony and Cleopatra and defeated them in 31 BC. Augustus arrived in Alexandria and demanded Cleopatra's surrender.
Cleopatra's alliances with Caesar and Antony made her significant.

I can provide a brief overview of my personal history, highlighting key life experiences and significant events that have shaped me.
One important event in Cleopatra's life was when she became queen and was made co-ruler with her then brother/husband, Ptolemy XIII. Certainly another important event was when she lost the country and committed suicide.
We know virtually nothing about Cleopatra's early life. The only things we know for certain are that her father was overthrown and exiled, regained his throne and took vengeance on those who usurped him. Even though these events took place in Cleo's early life, they were more about her father than about Cleopatra herself.
