Badges on Answers.com | WikiAnswersThere are several different types of badges; some you will receive automatically when you reach certain milestones, such as number of contributions and number of trust points. Others are awarded for winning or placing in a contest.

Badges are also placed on your profile when you join a group on WikiAnswers. The emphasis is on group participation, and the badge lets people know that you are participating in the group.

If you want to learn more about the groups, click on "Help Center" in the blue toolbar. Under "Contributing," click on "Join a Program." Select a program from the menu and click on it. The next page will the group's page.

Applying to a group: You should read about the group and then go to the bottom of the page if you think you would like to participate in that group. There will be an email address or contacts. You need to use the email address or contacts listed. Be sure to include your username, birth date, and tell which division you would like to participate in. If you meet the requirements for the group, you will become a member and a badge will be placed on your profile page.
