A smart phone is a phone that can do "beyond" what regular phones do. a smart phone can browse the web virtually anywhere! for instance you could go on face book anytime you would like. the main differences between a regular phone and a smart phone is: 1-usually smartphones are more big as in the screen area. the regular phone has a smaller area in the screen. 2- smartphones usually have a weather box across the near-top screen. 3-like the droid, some have search bars across the top of the screen that search in Google. 4-most smartphones have apps (applications) aka games or the app store where you can browse the largest selection of apps. 5-some contain a signal type bars at the top near the carrier like the iPhone 4 by apple. signal bars are near the search bar (for the droid) on the status bar: the thick line of little-like icons that tell you what is on for instance bluetooth. signal bars are bars that tell you how much service you have. (self explanatory.) some, NOTICE I SAID SOME, regular phones can browse the web but unlikely so i know of.
