most dip tubes when they go bad don't look like anything at all because there's nothing left to it. when you pull out your cold side nipple which is 3 to 4" inches long then you can pull out your dip tube and inspect it. If your dip tube has cracks in it or holes then I would replace it . Most dip tubes in a water heater tank should be long enough so that the bottom of the dip tube is within 4 to 6" of the bottom of the tank.

How do you hook up 1968 chev C10 327 ci heater hoses?

It matters if it has ac or not. If it is a non ac vehicle, the hoses and coolant flow from the fitting close to the thermostat housing to the lower heater core tube, then out the upper heater core tube to the fitting on the water pump. If it has ac, the hose from the upper heater core tube connects to the fitting on the radiator.

How do you replace the heater bypass tube on a 97 jeep 5.2?

The heater bypass tube is the thin metal tube that comes Off of the water pump to remove it from the water pump all you Need to do is use a torch to heat the pump where the tube Goes into the water pump then wiggle the tube out of the Water pump. The factory put a o-ring on the tube on the Inside of the water pump so that is why the torch is needed to weaken the o-ring so you can wiggle the tube out. If you break the pipe you can clean the edge of the tube And silicone it into the pump or if you don't want to torch The pump just cut the tube out and clean the tube and then silicone it into new pump. If you are buying a new pump the tube does not come with So if you have an autozone or checkers you can go get it From them, it may or may not be in stock. Part name: Heater hose bypass tube Autozone price: $9.95+tax(+ shipping if not in stock) Checkers price: I don't know

94 Ford Aerostar V6 the heater hoses that come off the water pump and go to the heater core how can you tell if they have been reversed?

Doesn't matter which way the water flows. The heater core is just a tube with fins and water can flow either direction.
