Well, honey, Montgomery Ward closed its Visalia, CA store back in 2000. So, if you're still waiting for it to reopen, I suggest finding a new favorite shopping spot. Time to update that address book, darling.

5/272013 I was reading a Wards forum with a number of responders talking about various Wards machines. One person said that he/she bought a UHT J1980 new in 1980.
I am not sure about the correct answer but I can tell you this for certain. My friend and I bought our new in either 1961 or 1962 from Montgomery Wards.

I have a Wards Western Field EJN-750 in .243, built on a Sako L57 action, number 3091. I purchased it new at the Montgomery Wards in Albany, NY in 1960. I believe it was manufactured in 1959 or 1960, but been unable to identify who manufactured it for Wards. There was another EJN-750 in .306 on the sale table, but I couldn't afford another $68 for it!
