it all depends on what you are wanting. both of these phones have a 2mp camera, touchscreen, bluetooth, games, radio, speakerphone and do not have 3g compatibility. The LG GS290 is lighter and thinner than the Nokia and can come in seven different colours. The Nokia 5233 has a bigger screen (3.2 inches diagonal as composed to 3 inches for the LG, not much difference), GPS hardware and more internal memory. there is really not a huge difference between these two phones, but if it was up to me, i would choose the lg GS290, because i like a thin phone and the Nokia is a very bulky touchscreen phone. hope that helps, Darby24
