GAIA is a social networking site. There are forums, games, and "shops" where you can buy things with Gaia gold. It's all free, of course, although you can buy items with real money, if you so choose. There's also an associated MMORPG, called "zOmg!". (All of it rediculously fun, of course ^_^)
